Ingredients
- Black-eyed pea fritter mix 250 g
- Water 400 g
- Salt 1 tsp
- Sugar 1 pinch
- Eggs 2 units
- Grated Cheese (optional) 150 g
Preparation
- In a pot, boil 400 g of water with
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 pinch of sugar
- 1 tbsp of butter or margarine
- Turn off the heat and add 250 g of the fritter mix. Mix very well until combined.
- Place the mixture in a bowl and let it rest until it is lukewarm.
- Transfer the mixture to a food processor or bowl, add 2 beaten eggs and mix very well until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Place the mixture in a piping bag with a star or churro nozzle and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- Serve and enjoy your delicious sweet or savory churros; they are ideal with suero costeño (sour cream).
